MQA Learnerships via SETAs and Department of Labour Center

Every year, Mining Qualifications Authority or MQA learnerships have been launched to offer a lot of people from different communities. These MQA learnerships are one of the parts of the National Skills Development Strategy by the government in order to create skills and to solve to poverty and unemployment problem. These learnerships are based on binding contract between the employer, the learner and the service provider. These learnerships contain of both practical and theoretical training in a couple of fields which depend on which learnership that you are doing.

Requirements
For being applied to these MQA learnerships you must have a grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification which is completed with English literacy or N2 in Engineering Studies. You must have numeracy literacy and skills. You must have no major sensory restrictions. You must have great motor skills such as eye, hand and foot coordination. You must have an analytical approach which is completed with attention to detail. You must have certificate of a valid mobile/overhead crane and forklift will be a benefit as well as computer literacy like MS office suite of packages. You must have working knowledge of safety, health, legislative and environmental requirements and standards. You must have working knowledge and practical experience in engineering practices and technologies.
