Following the organisation’s outstanding growth, FDM Group has partnered with Murex, a cutting-edge software vendor to train recent university graduates on a comprehensive and complex trade and risk management platform that is used in many leading financial institutions, like global investment banks and management consultancies.
FDM is currently looking for bright, highly motivated and talented graduates, with the drive to learn and work in IT and finance, to become Production Support Analysts in these organisations focused on this platform and the wider business systems. We are recruiting on behalf of some of the best-known Banks and Management Consultancies in the country.Successful candidates will receive comprehensive technical training (14 weeks) in various technologies in our academy. They will then be employed by FDM and become responsible for representing the organization on site with our clients.
FDM’s unique combination of fully-funded training and commercial experience will fast-track your career progression to put you on a path to become experts in supporting the systems, software and platforms used heavily in financial sectors.
Your main responsibilities will be to support traders on the platforms they use to execute their daily business within the financial markets.
This will involve dealing with real-time problems by applying business knowledge to software incidents, through investigating issues to find solutions and also proactively applying them in a timely manner. You will have to communicate effectively with all levels of seniority and think outside the box to ensure the smooth running of the financial platforms which are vital to the business.
Essential Criteria:
• Degree (preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics/Finance, Computer Science, IT or similar)
• A strong passion and aptitude for IT
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Practical problem-solving skills
• Analytical mind-set
• Ability to work under pressure
• Can-do approach
• Able to commit for 2 years
• Eligible to work in South Africa (citizen/permanent resident)

• UNIX operating system
• ITIL and IT Service management
• Financial Industry Awareness – Financial Markets and concepts
• MX.3 – Trade and risk Management Platform
o Financial Date & Market Conventions
o Trade Processing and risk management
o Trade pricing and execution
o Technical architecture & functional configuration
As part of your FDM training prior to your placement onsite, you may have the opportunity to travel to the UK for 3 months. All necessary documentation, travel, accommodation and living expenses will be arranged and paid for you.
