OPEN CALL TO PHOTOGRAPHERS AND EKURHULENI ARTISTS
With great excitement The Coloured Cube will be assisting Springs Mall in their quest to support local artists and highlight the architecture and people of Springs. 55 artworks will be installed in the offices, corridors and waiting areas through the mall.
This includes 15 original Ekurhuleni artworks, 15 paper cut out artworks of the people of Springs and 25 photographs of the Art Deco architecture of Springs. This album will highlight the chosen works from artists and photographers. An exciting move forward in connecting mall developments with their context and the artists!
1. OPEN CALL EKURHULENI ARTISTS
15 artworks will be chosen for the Springs Mall opening early 2024
Artworks: Paintings, prints or drawings
Size: A3 or larger
Payment to artist: R4000 per artwork
Quantity: Max. 3 submissions per artist

The Coloured Cube’s Mariapaola McGurk will be producing 15 paper cutout artworks for Springs Mall and is calling on photographers to share their images taken of people in Springs. The images can be portraits or people in action. Bold, strong images are wanted. These images will be used as inspiration for this body of works.
