Online Application: 2 May from 08h00 – 12 June 2024
Late registration begins: 13 June – 20 October 2024
Submit supporting documents and complete School form: On or before 12 June 2024
Parents are informed of successful/unsuccessful apps: 24 – 28 July 2024

 
The fees for 2024 are R37 000. As we are a government school, we do not offer any bursaries / scholarships.
A Parktown High School for Girls Information Form must be collected from Reception between 8:00am – 3:00pm. The completed Information Form must be signed by BOTH parents/guardians and handed back to Reception with ALL the following documentation. (To be handed in on or before 12 June 2024)

  1. A CERTIFIED copy of the Learner’s Unabridged birth certificate
  2. A CERTIFIED copy of the Learner’s Latest school report
  3. CERTIFIED copies of ID documents of parents’/guardians’/person responsible for fees
  4. A CERTIFIED copy of Proof of residence of the parent / guardian with whom the learner lives, being either a municipal services bill or lease agreement (if lease is used please include id document and municipal services bill of owner)
  5. CERTIFIED copies of Proof of employment, showing street address of business for BOTH parents / guardians
  6. One passport size Photograph of your daughter/ward

Where applicable:

  1. Documentation showing proof of sibling relationship where learner seeks preferential placement
  2. A CERTIFIED copy of the Divorce Agreement indicating Custodial Parent
  3. A CERTIFIED copy of Proof of legal rights to fulfil the obligations of a Parent or Proof of Legal Guardianship
  4. A CERTIFIED copy of Permanent Residence OR Study Permit

Learners are accepted based on the admissions policy of the school and guidelines set out by the Gauteng Department of Education.

Parent access the web address https://www.gdeadmissions.gov.za/ to be on the “Welcome to Admissions Online Application for 2024” page. The parent is required to read the information on the welcome page and click on the hyperlink for the Terms and Conditions.
Parents with no / limited internet access can complete the process at their closest school OR their closest Gauteng Department of Education District Office.

REGISTRATION/LOGIN PROCESS

1. First time user will be required to click the “Register“ button to register parent information before making an application
2. The pop-up screen will then request the parent to “Select the Registration Type” for South African or non-South African Citizen
3. On selection of the South African Citizen/ non- South African Citizen, a pop-up screen for “ID Number /Passport verification” will request the parent to enter the ID/Passport Number
4. The parent will then complete the required parent information to register and create login credentials
5. Use the created login credentials to log-in to access the main application page:

  • Parents who created login credentials in 2024 use the same credentials
  • Parents who may have forgotten login credentials click the reset password to create new login credentials

6. On this page a parent can:

  • view or edit details by clicking on the “My Details” link
  • register learner information by clicking on the “Register Learner“ link (Application cannot be made unless a learner is registered)
  • view the status of applications
  • apply by clicking the link “Apply For 2024”

APPLICATION PROCESS

7. General Application

  • select a learner
  • select grade 8 for 2024
  • select the address (home or work) for the system to pop-up the three closest schools to the address
  • click “Apply” to submit your application
  • An automated SMS will be generated to the parent cell phone number to confirm the submission of the online application

8. Application for a learner with a sibling at a school

  • select a learner
  • select grade 8 for 2024
  • tick the checkbox to select the sibling’s school
  • if the sibling’s school is not found click the “Add Sibling Details” to register sibling information first, then select the sibling’s school
  • select the address (home or work) for the system to pop-up the two closest schools to the address
  • click “Apply” to submit your application
  • An automated SMS will be generated to the parent cell phone number to confirm the submission of the online application

9. Application to a school of choice

  • select a learner
  • select grade 8 for 2024
  • select “school of choice” option on the address dropdown to select a school
  • select an address (home or work) on the second address dropdown for the system to pop-up the two closest schools to the address
  • click “Apply” to submit your application
  • An automated SMS will be generated to the parent cell phone number to confirm the submission of the online application
