Generic Requirements:
Applicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions.
Be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English.
Be a South African Citizen.
A Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)
At least a valid light motor vehicle driver’s license
Must have no criminal record or pending criminal / departmental cases.
Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening and
fingerprint verification.
Additional Requirements:
Minimum of 800 hours Helicopter flying hours’ experience.
Experience on twin-turbine and single turbine Helicopters.
Helicopter commercial pilot license.
Instrument rating on Helicopters.
Core Functions:
Fly R44 Helicopters, AS350 B3 Helicopter, B0105 Helicopter for aerial policing duties.
Maintain aviation safety standards and policies.
Conduct standby duties as pilot.
Keep and manage certain administrative functions in terms of set regulations,
Liaise with external/internal role players.
GENERAL

Applicants will be subjected to fingerprint screening.
Persons who retired from the Public Service by taking a severance package, early retirement
or for medical reasons, as well as persons with previous convictions, are excluded.
