PwC Legal Services South Africa is a corporate commercial legal practice based in Johannesburg South Africa. We pride ourselves on adding value to our clients’ endeavours, through quality of work, personal attention of partners and excellent service levels.
Our growing team currently comprising five partners and a total of 13 professionals.
PwC Legal South Africa has six areas of focus, namely:

• corporate mergers and acquisitions, including listings, de-listings, BEE, private equity transactions and linked funding arrangements;
• public sector matters, project, acquisition and development finance;
• competition law;
• litigation support services;
• legal forensic investigations; and
• broadcasting, media and telecommunication and regulatory matters.

The team comprises professionals who have experience in public market transactions valued in excess of R80 billion, including some of the most complex and ground breaking transactions. Team members have been involved in some of the most high-profile private equity and empowerment transactions in South Africa.
The team has developed a strong track record in public market listings and de-listings, has acted in several high-profile contested transactions, and has ranked in the top echelon of legal advisers in annual surveys of mergers and acquisitions in South Africa.
The litigation support team has experience in assisting clients with large-scale local and cross-border disputes, including claims in excess of R1 billion, tender disputes, review applications and private company and state institution forensic investigations. Our professionals have extensive experience in advising both lenders and borrowers in respect of a wide spectrum of finance transactions.
We’ve been at the forefront of developments in competition law, assisting clients with competition matters ranging from merger filings to investigations.
