One-Year Contract
The HPRU requires a skilled/experienced Driver to support the Operations Department and Sites with transportation of HPRU staff, research participants and research specimens to and from clinical research sites.  The Driver will also provide operational support to the Westville office as well as clinical research sites in the Durban region.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving: Transport staff to clinical research sites
  • Transportation of specimens
  • Administration: filing, faxing, photocopying, etc
  • Report writing

Core Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • A Code 10 driver’s licence (valid for more than 3 years)
  • Valid PDP to transport passengers
  • 3-5 years driving experience
  • Willing to work outside normal working hours when required
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Prepared to travel to clinical research sites in the greater KZN area on a regular basis
  • Computer literacy: Email, Microsoft Office
  • Valid dangerous goods and spillage awareness training certificate will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Durban and surrounding areas
  • Sober habits

Advantageous:

  • Driving experience in a research environment
  • Knowledge of general administration

A salary in the region of ZAR121 000 per annum, cost-to-company will be negotiated in compliance with experience/qualifications.
