Our PR agency client based in Sandton is looking to fill the senior consultant role.
Extensive experience in consumer PR is essential, motoring experience is a plus
We are looking for a creative and strategic individual with strong writing and journalistic skills. The successful candidate needs to be an independent thinker and actor, but should also be able to work in a team environment.
Key competencies:
- Strong strategic and creative abilities;
- High energy and enthusiastic;
- First-rate client service experience and relations;
- Excellent media relations and contacts, especially in the consumer and motoring space;
- Stakeholder management skills;
- Experience in being account lead and managing a team;
- Project management and multi-tasking expertise;
- Experience in pitching for new business;
- Experience working with digital and social media campaigns;
- Exceptional language skills;
Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write:
- For different media channels (print, electronic and digital, and broadcast)
- News stories, features and opinion pieces / thought leadership articles
- Proposals, reports and edit documents; and
- English proficiency
- Computing skills
- Management skills
Requirements:
- Degree or relevant qualification in PR / communications / journalism
- At least six to eight years of public relations or related agency experience
- PC, and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and research skills
- Drivers licence with own car
