A solutions and systems integration specialist is looking for a senior test analyst with tertiary education in the ICT industry, ISTQB foundation certification and five+ years of software testing experience with proven expertise in different skills with involvement in software development life cycle, testing life cycle, concepts and methodologies like integration testing, regression testing system testing, acceptance testing. Scripting knowledge essential.
Duties: 

• Develop test plans and test coverage matrixes
• Develop test closure reports on assigned projects
• Provide feedback and reports to stakeholders
• Perform defect analysis and risk assessment analysis
• Identify test scenarios, create mindmaps, write test scripts, and gather data and environment requirements. Identify impacted areas for regression testing post defect fixes. Work with junior test analysts to finish test scripting activity on time with high quality
• Take full responsibility for getting sign off for the deliverables such as scripts, requirements and any other document or artefacts on behalf of junior tester/analysts
• Guiding/mentoring learners and juniors in identifying test requirements, test cases and gathering test data and defect management
• Develop releases, requirements, test plans, test cases, test lab and defects management on test management tool (HP QC)
• Conduct environment health check, data validation before the start of the test execution phase. Make sure both are fit for purpose. Make sure test lab is ready for execution
• Ensure that all assigned tasks are completed as per overall test strategy and governance of the programme
• Manage raised defects to complete their life cycle. Where required provide developers with required clarifications
• Provide test manager with timely status reports, risks, and issues for different phases of testing activities
• Post-test execution phase, participate in root cause analysis and implement action items with a view to continuous improvement
• On daily test execution summarise the execution report with test coverage, executed test cases, defects logged and dependencies and effectively communicate results to project stakeholders, varied levels of leadership, and cross-functional teams
• Plan, oversee and perform testing activities
• Update TCOE database on daily basis with the number of test cases prepared, executed and defects logged and also update if any risks/issues/dependencies are identified
• Maintain the entire project related documents and TCOE deliverables in the centrally located SharePoint link
• On a day to day basis, will identify, report and prioritise defects, working with
• Developers to locate and assist in identifying and resolving Integration defects
• To coordinate re-testing of defects
• To prepare and maintain relevant test documentation, including test cases and scripts, activity schedules, narrative and written reports, and visual progress charts
• Develop UAT scenarios/test cases in conjunction with business users and manage
• UAT defects and sign off
• Responsible for designing, developing, and executing the test strategies, test plans, test cases and defect life cycle that verify a system/application conformance to defined functional design documents, as well as application standards
• Testing will be both manual and automated. In addition to functional testing, the senior test analyst is responsible for quality assurance of the non-functional areas such as gathering data, environment requirements and UAT requirements

Requirements: 

• Tertiary education in the ICT industry (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (preferred)
• ISTQB foundation certification (required)
• ISEB intermediate certificate (preferred)
• Five+ years of software testing experience with proven expertise in different skills with involvement in software development life cycle, testing life cycle, concepts and methodologies
