Capabilities and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical, the purpose of this role is to provide Electrical and Technical expertise to ensure that the electrical assets of GEMCO are maintained in a coordinated manner and in compliance with the relevant safety and technical standards, particularly in the preparation, planning and execution of shutdown activities. In addition, you will:

• Ensure all electrical work is designed to standards and delivered to the Electrical Supervisor to execute effectively with minimal disruption to the electrical assets
• Plan and manage execution of shutdown plans for fixed plant electrical maintenance works for the port, power station and concentrator
• Project planning and manage of execution teams for works outside scope of normal planned maintenance activities
• Monitor, review and manage work practices of engaged contractors to ensure quality work is delivered on time and complies with GEMCO standards and policies
• Develop improvement plans with Analysis & Improvement and execute work to completion
• Maintain risk and statutory compliance registers for work tooling, materials and plant infrastructure
• Ensure continuity of planned maintenance tasks across shifts

Competencies

• Electrical Trade qualification
• Current A grade Electrical Licence or the ability to hold a current Electrical Licence
• Excellent communication skills
• Capability to lead and influence others, including both employees and contractors
