South 32 2024 Job Vacancy Superintendent Technical & Contracts

POSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of this role is to manage the operational aspects of all the logistics contracts within the required service levels and to also ensure compliance to internal and external standards in the execution of logistics volumes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTech/National Diploma in the field of Logistics/ Engineering/ Marketing / Finance with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations of which at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity;
• Experience in the use of SAP and other port logistics software is essential;
• The ability to accurately manipulate, interpret and report numeric data is essential;
• Experience in logistics and supply chain processes for bulk solid cargoes will be an added advantage.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Co-ordinates all the internal alignment required to execute all logistics activities within contractual obligations and required service levels;
• Manage the operational stakeholder relationships with Transnet and other logistics service providers;
• Provides the required operational and technical input into commercial logistics contracts;
• Ensures that systems are in place to effectively manage logistics risks and exposures;
• Provides related logistic information and reports as required;
• Cultivates positive relationships through effective communication and provides constructive feedback to peers on a regular basis;
• Conducts operational due diligence on all proposed short-term and long-term logistics solutions;
• Monitors the investigation and close-out of reported logistics events.
