OSITION SYNOPSIS:

The purpose of the role is to bridge the gap between operations and ESD at region.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Serious contenders will have a Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Commerce /Social Science with a minimum of 6 years relevant experience in Supply Contract Management, Reporting to external stakeholders such as the DMR. Management of suppliers from an Enterprise & Supplier Development perspective, of which 1 year must have been in a supervisory capacity;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant procurement legislation – DTI and DMR is essential;
• In depth knowledge and experience of local municipalities and local community dynamics.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Maintain a constant presence as first line support for ESD queries;
• Work with business development service providers to support and develop local small businesses;
• Support local walk in business support centres by providing info on supply chain;
• Forge relationships with the local municipality, government (DMR), and community to showcase our ESD achievements;
• Identify opportunities for ESD vendors on site;
• Ensure scopes of work are put together in a manner that supports finding ESD vendors;
• Ensure site technical support is sufficient;
• Streamline working with ESD companies;
• Provide reporting on activities, as well as stats for DMR and DTI audit purposes;
• Champion ESD roll outs in local community;
• Assist in identifying initiatives to be implemented as per Budget requirements.
