Standard Bank is looking for New Staff to joine them in CA (SA) Training Programme

The CA (SA) Training Programme is a training route for accounting trainees who want to qualify as chartered accountants (SA). The Programme was established in July 1997, motivated by the move of qualified CAs (SA) to the private industry and has grown to produce a number of chartered accountants. The name has since been changed to the CA (SA) Training Programme. On the CA (SA) Training Programme, training is provided through commerce and industry, as opposed to the traditional route of audit firms.

CA (SA) Training Programme candidates specialise in financial management rather than auditing. As the trainees are being trained to become well-rounded chartered accountants, a major part of their training includes financial accounting, management accounting, information and taxation.
Our chartered accounting CA(SA) programme caters for the brightest and the best, who gain the essential financial management skills, commercial exposure and leadership capabilities to further their career. By rotating through our different business areas, you will fulfill the requirements of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, and possibly even throw in a bit of travel on the side by working outside of South Africa.
Why choose the Standard Bank CA (SA) Training Programme?
Trainees on our CA (SA) Training Programme receive quality technical and managerial training to prepare them for future roles as business leaders. It engenders a learning culture within the vibrant financial services sector to ensure professionalism and growth in leadership and technical abilities.
Our CA (SA) Training Programme not only re-enforces prior academic education, but also helps trainees to develop business acumen, life skills and professional and ethical values. Important networks are also established with business unit directors and line managers to facilitate future career paths.

Our Group Finance function is responsible for the group’s CA (SA) Training Programme and the Group Financial Director takes a personal interest in the development of trainees on the programme. Mentors, who are qualified chartered accountants, are allocated to trainees to monitor their progress and assist with their personal development. Our CA (SA) Training Programme also has a growing alumnus of trainees who share their experience with new trainees. Our CA (SA) Training Programme is proud of its academic achievements. Trainees on the programme consistently achieve excellent pass rates.
