ABOUT THE JOB:
The Superbalist Internship Programme aims to provide an opportunity for graduates to acquire skills that equip them for a successful creative career – while channeling the power of fresh talent into excellent work for Superbalist.
With this paid internship we’re offering young writers the chance to join our Editorial team for a four-month internship. During this time, successful candidates will work with the people behind the brand’s award-winning marketing strategy and content. The programme will involve on-the-job learning while shadowing members of various departments within Superbalist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Head of Copy and Senior Copywriters in day-to-day tasks
  • Writing and editing a variety of blog posts as requested by the Editor
  • Daily research into news, events etc.

REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Degree or diploma in journalism, media or copywriting preferred
    • A good eye for editing and prooffreading
    • Innovative thinking
    • Ability to work across a number of departments and juggle numerous tasks while carrying out many different roles
    • Strong self-motivation
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills
    • Ability to write clearly and concisely
    • Ability to prioritise, collaborate and manage various tasks at one time
    • Committed, reliable and able to meet deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail
    • A solid understanding of – and interest in – youth culture
