Slogan of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) Environmental Services Increased pressures from environmental legislation and public opinion have resulted in a general increase in environmental awareness among militaries all over the world. In South Africa this has led to an approach of Military Integrated Environmental Management [MIEM] encapsulated in the phase Green Soldiering.
