Position Purpose :

The purpose of this position is to increase logistics market share and share of wallet at existing and new customers in

existing and new market segments through innovative commercial-and freight logistics solutions (including partnering

solutions) to provide integrated end-to end service offerings. The EM will lead the development and execution of strategic

segment –and customer growth strategies. Collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders (including OD’s,

customers, industry forums etc.) in the development and execution of segment specific value propositions, including logistics

partner selection, will be required to deliver on the contractual promise and enhance the customer experience. Integrated

long-term customer –and partner commercial contracting /deal-making is a key deliverable to secure revenue growth. To lead

and institutionalize cross-OD integrated Key Account Planning for strategic accounts to inform strategic-and tactical planning;

including volume validation to inform capacity planning and allocation.

Qualifications & Experience :

• A Matric is required;

• a 4 Year or Honours degree in Commercial/Business Management is a pre-requisite;

• A relevant Masters Qualification is required;

• More than 12 years’ relevant management experience in a logistics and operational environment is required

• At least 5 years’ experience on senior management level with strategic industry/customer relationship management,

development of business focussed strategies, and process re- engineering / productivity and / or work assessment models is

required;

• Experience in the development of organisational support systems and project management will be an advantage.
