UL 12 months Learnership and Certificate Programme in Funeral Parlour, Medical and Hazardous Waste Management
The University of Limpopo (UL) in partnership with Services SETA, has introduced an exciting 12 months Learnership and Certificate Programme in Funeral Parlour, Medical and Hazardous Waste Management. This opportunity aims to empower 50 learners with skills on safe handling and burial of corpses, minimising cross infection to the handlers and to provide a safe environment in terms of infection control in the preparation room for staff and visitors (sanitation and universal precautions).
Applicants should:
- Be South Africans who are in possession of the Grade 12/Standard 10 with Matric and a pass in English, Physical Science and Life Science or Biology; or
- Be South Africans who have successfully completed the National Certificate in Vocational Studies (NQF Level 4); or
- Be South Africans who have successfully completed a further Education and Training Certificate (NQF Level 4) and
- Be South Africans with Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) based on minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in the funeral parlour or medical and hazardous waste management.
- Have Original letter from the employer in a company letter head with company stamp (if available) and a contactable reference.
- Have certified copy of South African Identity Document.
- Have certified copy of Qualifications.

Please note: Learners will be required to sign a bursary learnership agreement with the Services SETA and Certification will be issued on completion of the full 12 month.
