ALICE AND EAST LONDON CAMPUS
 (Ref No. 7872): GRADE 05
SALARY: R773 720 – R 964 150 per annum (All-inclusive package)
 
The University of Fort Hare anchors its academic programmes on transdisciplinary studies and is hereby seeking to appoint an academic as the Director of the Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies.  The incumbent should have extensive experience in the Higher Education Landscape of South Africa.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and implement institutional strategy and processes.
  • Liaise with faculties.
  • Deeply embed transdisciplinary studies in curricula offerings.
  • Undertake research in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other related duties that may be assigned

 
 
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • A PhD degree is preferable and substantial academic experience with evidence of participation in transdisciplinary activities.
  • Project management skills.
  • A track record of research publications and supervision of post graduate students
