Vaal University of Technology Open Day 2024
The campus was abuzz with prospective students from over 50 schools countrywide that converged on the Vaal University of Technology’s campus on 16 May 2024 for the Annual Open Day. Buses, taxis and cars occupied every possible parking space with approximately 5000 learners from Grade 10, 11 and 12, together with career guidance counselors and parents were present at this prestigious event.
Many schools came by special invitation, whilst others came on their own. The Open Day presented an ideal platform for learners to explore tertiary study opportunities with on-the-spot assistance and advice, personal interaction as well as various campus tours with academics and current students.
The success of the Open Day was mainly due to the extensive school visits and career exhibitions at various platforms by the school recruitment team throughout the year.
As a university that leads in innovative knowledge and quality technology education through its faculty programmes and the various Centres of Excellence, learners were spoilt for choice with such a vast number of courses on offer.
