Media Liaison Officer
Basic Salary: R321,539 – R383,448 per annum

Requirements:
- A tertiary qualification with a focus on communication coupled with a strategic understanding of the media landscape
- Proven working experience in the media arena
- Must be willing to work overtime when required
Key performance areas:
- Monitor and analyse media coverage to identify key issues and trends impacting the City of Cape Town
- Ensure media related queries are dealt with
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with city-based media
- Execute a proactive media plan in line with the overall communication strategy of the city
- Attend key council meetings when required to do so
- Provide input and support to the senior staff Implement media campaigns in consultation with the senior staff in the media branch
- Provide responses to the media in line with the direction provided.
