Our client is looking for a talented system engineer, they offer a range of services from long-term strategic planning and investments to day-to-day advice and administration of wealth services.
The group has over 10 offices around the world!
The individual will provide system engineer support for the whole group and will work on IT projects to improve the support tools and processes.
We are specifically looking for strong knowledge in scripting, batches, automation, creating and maintaining active workflows on MS SCCM/SCSM/SharePoint, including strong experience in Microsoft core technologies (Win2012Srv, Win2024Srv): DNS, DHCP, AD, GPO, WMI, DFS, etc.
Accountabilities:
- Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommend ways to take advantage of new technology
- Configure IT hardware, software and systems in core Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, and NetApp technologies through automated tasks
- Develop procedures, programs and documentation for workflows and task automation
- Be accountable for group IT policy and best practices enforcement, in particular in automation and scripting
- Mentor/cross train team members on existing and new technologies
- Review existing operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
- Manage the delivery of projects through the complete lifecycle from initiation to completion, meeting the key success criteria set by management. This includes ensuring that the project is delivered on time, meets business and technical requirements and is within the agreed budget
- Use best practice risk management, assess risks, escalade to senior manager, and plan for the mitigation
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation, development and improvement of robust infrastructure

Qualification/skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related area) preferred and IT technical qualification
- Relevant qualification or experience in IT system administration
- Minimum five years of experience in installing and supporting IT systems
- Strong knowledge in scripting, batches, automation, creating and maintaining active workflows on MS SCCM/SCSM/SharePoint
- Strong experience in Microsoft core technologies (Win2012Srv, Win2024Srv): DNS, DHCP, AD, GPO, WMI, DFS, etc.
- Experience in MS Exchange, SharePoint, VMware, and Citrix
- Good practice in project management
- Experience with MS SQL an asset
Skills
- Very fluent in English
- French and German – highly beneficial
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Willingness to travel overseas when business requires
