WHPS – Teaching Internship 2024
WHPS is an independent (private) School, offering education as follows: Grade 000 and Grade 00 boys and girls, and Grade 0-7 boys only through the medium of English. WHPS is a Traditional / Christian-based school specialising in the education of boys.
Founded in 1923 by the Ruddell brothers, the vision of the School is to realise the holistic development of its boys using a broad-base to promote high moral values; independent thinking; self-discipline and a positive self-image, enabling each boy to realise his full potential in academics, sporting and cultural fields within a Christian environment.

We are currently seeking to appoint a suitable candidate in the position of Teaching Intern.

- Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children
- Strong values, be self-motivated and disciplined
- Able and willing to participate fully in the school’s extra-curricular programme
- Able and willing to be involved in the school’s Boarding House, if required
- Able to work cooperatively in a professional team environment with school management and fellow interns
- Actively seeking to develop him/herself professionally in a school environment that is committed to providing a quality education
- Actively supportive of the school’s ethos
- Enrolled in or planning to be registered for a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Honours student, or another appropriate teaching qualification, with an accredited distance learning institution
- Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement before they are admitted to the school’s Intern Programme
- Accommodation is offered to those who do boarder duties, or in lieu of living out allowances.
