APPLICATION TO STUDY AT VUSELELA TVET COLLEGE
IMPORTANT:
Read ALL the information before you complete the application form
Application dates for Engineering Studies in 2024:
Trimester 2 – apply from 1 March 2024 until 12 May 2024
Trimester 3 – apply from 1 June 2024 until 8 September 2024
Application dates for Business and Utility Studies in 2024:
Semester 2 – apply from 1 May 2024 until 28 July 2024
Application date for National Certificate (Vocational), Report 191 Business Studies, Report 191 Engineering Studies and Report 191 Utility Studies in 2024:
1 October 2024
Not all programmes are offered at all campus. Make sure the programmes you are applying for, are offered at the campus of your choice.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY FOR REGISTRATION
Please bring along/attach the following documents if you wish to apply for registration at Vuselela TVET College:
- Certified copy of your ID document
- Proof of residence of parents/guardian/spouse
- Certified copy of statement of latest results
- Certified copy of ID of parent/guardian
- Foreign students must be in the possession of a valid passport and a study permit

Once we’ve recieved your application we will reply with a “Proof of Application Received Form”.
DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY FOR A BURSARY
Please note that it is NOT GUARANTEED that you will receive a bursary. Bursaries are awarded to students who are academically well deserving and financially needy.
Bring along the following information and certified copies if you wish to apply for a bursary. Remember it is not guaranteed that a bursary will be awarded to you.
- Certified copy of your ID book/birth certificate
- Certified copy of ID of parents/guardian or certified copy of death certificate or affidavit
- Certified copy of ID of spouse if student is married
- Certified copy of marriage certificate if student is married
- Certified copy of spouse’s death certificate if the student is widow/widower)
- Certified copy of the divorced decree if the student is divorced
- Employment documents of both parents/guardian (payslips, SASSA letter or pension slip not older than 3 months of affidavit if unemployed)
- Copy of latest results
- Travel documents (eg invoice or affidavit)
- Accommodation document (eg invoice, affidavit or rental agreement)
- Proof of postal address – current home address – not a PO Box number
- Address where you will be staying while studying
- Details of other family members younger than 18 living with you – certified copy of the ID’s
- Residential address of parents
- Number of family members in the household
- Proof of income (salary slip or affidavit)
- Age and educational status of members in the household
Please take note the following:
- The College will do a DHET NSFAS means test to see if you qualify for a bursary
- You must be accepted into a NC(V) or Report 191 programme before you can apply for a bursary
- If you fail, you will not qualify for support of programmes which you have to repeat
