About Sasseta
Sasseta is an authority organization that works in security industry and provide integrated education and training for security and safety sector. According to National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS), the main objectives of Sasseta is to distribute skills development in formal sector aimed for employment growth and productivity, high quality learning, supporting skills in small businesses and social developments.
Available Fields of Study
Sasseta bursaries awarded to support the needed skills in Private Security, Corrections Chamber, Justice Chamber, Policing Chamber, Legal Chamber and DefenceProjects. The available fields of study are:
- Employed Learners Bursaries:
National Senior Certificate for Adults (SAQA), Security Operations Management study, Labour Relations, Acelerated Development Programme, Professional Nurses Registration, Financial Management, Executive Management Development Program, Supply Chain Management, Report Writings, Labor Law, Customary Law, LLB degree, IPID National Diploma Policing, Bcom Accounting, Bcom Supply Chain Management and all-inclusive programme in defence projects
- Unemployed Learners Bursaries:
Any fields of study that may relate to Sasseta critical sector, Work Experiential Learning st host employers and all inclusvie programme in defence projects.
Requirements For Bursaries
Sasseta bursaries are open for the following criterion:
- Applicants must be South African citizens
- Public TVET colleges
- TVET colleges students graduating year 2014 from rural areas
- Students from rural areas studying and doing matric in 2014
- Students from rural areas registered at TVET (FET) college or public university
- Technikon graduates completing in 2014 from rural areas
- Unemployed youth from the rural areas
Sasseta bursaries will be awarded per academic year therefore bursars must submit their academic results by February or enrolled at university by February.
Applying For Bursaries
Interested candidates are required to attach the following documents:
- Certified copy of valid South African ID
- Certified copy of qualification/achievements
- Certified copy of latest academic results on uiversity/technikon/FETC official letterhead
- Provisional registration/acceptance letter from university/technikon/FETC lastly on February
