How it works

Features
  • Get email or SMS notifications every time transactions take place on your accounts, including:
    • Payments
    • Purchases
    • Withdrawals
    • Deposits
    • Transfers
    • Scheduled transactions
    • Returned transactions
  • You can choose to get daily or weekly balance updates.
  • Select when you want to be notified: between long hours (06:00 -22:00), office hours (08:00 – 17:00) or 24/7 (receive notifications as you transact).
  • Minimum amount setting: you can set notifications for any transaction amount. For example, if you choose R0, you will be notified of any transaction. If you choose a minimum amount of R10, you will only be notified of transactions of R10 and above.
  • When you make a point-of-sale transaction using a debit chip card, you will get a notification of the purchase amount (shown as a reserved amount) as well as your available account balance at the time of the transaction

  • Register on Absa Online under the “Profile” tab.
  • Call Telephone Banking (full service) on 08600 08600 and select option 1.
  • Visit any Absa branch.
